What does the 10% fee cover?
Video hosting and streaming, your storefront, checkout, and the student learning experience. There's nothing else to buy: the fee only exists when you actually make a sale.
When is Starter or Pro worth it?
Past $490/month in sales, upgrading starts paying for itself, since each plan's fee drops as the monthly price goes up. Below that, stay on Free; it's genuinely the better deal.
Are there payment processing fees on top?
Yes, and that's true on every platform: card payments carry Stripe's processing fee (~2.9% + 30¢). Sensei Factory adds nothing on top of processing on Pro, and its own fee on Free and Starter.
What happens to my courses if I stay on Free?
Free is unlimited on students and everything else; the only cap is courses. Up to 3 courses on Free today (configurable). Archived courses don't count, and a downgrade never unpublishes what's already live.
What about refunds?
Refunding a sale reverses exactly what was recorded: the student loses access, you return the sale amount, and the platform returns its fee. No surprises later.
I'm on another platform. How hard is switching?
Re-uploading your videos and setting prices takes an afternoon. Courses here are modules, lessons, resources, and free previews, the same shapes you already have. Your storefront link is ready the moment you publish.
